Modernism was the artistic and intellectual revolution of the early twentieth century. Yet despite its now-secure location in history, the radical experimental practices of modernism continue to bewilder as much as they excite.

"Beginning Modernism" is een handig boek in de serie "Beginning" van John McLeod. Het geeft eenvoudige handvaten voor mensen die zich interesseren in moderne kunst en er graag meer vanaf weten.

Zoals de titel al aangeeft is het niet meer dan een inleiding tot het Modernisme. Maar voor wie niet meer verwacht dan dat is het een prima beginpunt om het Modernisme te leren kennen.
