Encaustic Workshop

In this work, the reader is introduced to encaustic painting, the tools and supplies needed and over 25 step-by-step techniques for delving into this layered medium. This work also covers adding pigments to colour the wax, layering in collage papers and fibers, adding foils, photos and carving, as well as methods that break the traditional rules, such as using carved stamps, alcohol inks, glue, watercolours, and even rub-ons to create varied works.
