In this book Marius tells us his story. It is a book about an once honorable man in the Roman empire that lived amongst poëts, philosophers and politicians. When he got turned into a blood god he gets involed in complete different kind of politics which he takes very serious. The book is, like most of Anne's books, a wonderful mixture of love and despair, regret and sorrow, politics and faith and art and culture.
These books are not an easy an lightweight read. although the books grips you from beginning to the end, I still found that it was an fairly slow read. I wouldn't reccomend it for readers that haven't read any English book yet, but after a few you should be able to read it more easely.
Pluspunten:
mooie schrijf stijl, goede personages, goed plot, meeslepend verhaal
Minpunten:
geen 'beginners boek'

This book was to my satisfaction,I liked the book and there were no parts were I was bored in any way.When I started reading it was hard to put it down.
Fans of the vampire chronicles will not be dissapointed reading this one.

Haunted by jealous vampires he has to flee and start a new life in a different city. When he roams he lets you meet other children of the dark blood.
