I loved this book. A friend of mine recommended it and I absolutely loved it. The way the books is written and seeing the situation through so many eyes is wonderful. This book greatly touched me and it was a pleasure to read. I could not put it down!

Ik kreeg het boek van mijn schotse vriendin in onze vakantie. Ik ben er in begonnen en kon bijna niet meer stoppen. Het is een intrigerend verhaal, wat veel herkenbare fragmenten heeft. Helemaal als je zelf ook kinderen hebt. Het verhaal wordt per hoofdstuk geschreven vanuit het oogpunt van iedereen die betrokken is. Dat maakt het verhaal mooi, omdat iedereen zo zijn of haar eigen kijk op de situatie heeft. Het verhaal eindigd anders dan je zou verwachten. Ik raakte maar niet uitgepraat over dit boek en over het thema. Met Man en vriendinnen bracht het intressante discussies op! Echt een aanrader. Lijkt het engels wat te moeilijk, hij is er ook in het nederlands. Dan heet het: De tweede dochter.
