Reisgids uit de bekende serie Lonely Planet over Jamaica, een der grotere eilanden in de Caraiben. De inhoud bestaat uit een introductie van het eiland d.m.v. allerlei feitelijke gegevens over de geschiedenis, omgeving en maatschappij. In de volgende hoofdstukken worden per regio of provincie de historie en omgeving besproken, en worden highlights genoemd, evenals adressen van hotels, eetgelegenheden e.d. voor elk budget. Daarna algemene en specifieke reistips, o.a. adressen van belangrijke instanties, maar ook vervoersbedrijven, waarna een opsomming van de transportmogelijkheden naar en op het eiland. Het laatste hoofdstuk gaat in op de taal van het land, een verbasterd Engels. Vernieuwde editie over dit eiland; de gegevens zijn 'ge-updated', o.a. websites en accommodatie.
