Ik wist niet waar ik aan begon toen ik boeken kocht, maar ik kan eerlijk zegen dat ik geen spijt heb van mijn aankoop.
Deze serie is in een woord adembenemend. 1 van de beste fantasie boeken ooit!

Echt en aanrader voor degene die vampier en weerwolf boeken zat is en zin heeft in iets anders.
Mooie romantische verhaal, met een goed verhaal, blijft constant spannend, en leest makkelijk weg!

The main character in the book is the almost eighteen-year-old Wendy Everly. She had always known she was different from other people. And her mother always told her Wendy was not her child, that Wendy had to be switched at birth. Her mother was really angry at her for that and even tried to kill Wendy on her sixth birthday. That did not succeed while Wendy’s brother, Matt, stopped her. Wendy’s mother had been in a psychiatric hospital ever since and Wendy and Matt have been living at their aunt’s.

Wendy know’s she is different. For example, she can influence people’s decisions. She doesn’t know how she does it, but she can. And one day when there turns up a new boy at her school, a really handsome twenty-year-old named Finn, her whole life changes. One night he even knocks on her bedroom window, wanting to talk to her about what she is. But Wendy refuses to believe she is what he sais she is: A Troll (or a Trylle as they call it). And that she has to come with him to Förening, the place where all the other Trylle live.

One day Wendy realises Finn is right, and when she wants to go to him she is attacked by Vittra (Trolles from another ‘pack’). But Finn saves her and takes her to Förening. Then Wendy learns Finn is a tracker: he finds the changelings (the children from Trylle who were switched with normal children at birth to have a full life untill they are ready to go back to the secluded area of Förening) and brings them back. When they arrive, she learns something far more important: she is the Princess, and the last one of Elora’s (her biological mother’s ) legacy. And the Vittra are willing to get her, because that would give them power over the Förening. Luckily for Wendy, Finn is there for her, to teach her things and get her ready for her role as a Princess. They become very close and fall in love, but that is not supposed to happen: Trylle aren’t supposed to be involved with trackers or normal humans…

Switched is an amazing read about paranormal romance at a new level: no Weres, Vampires or Angels. But there are Trolles. How cool is that! And the writing style of Amanda Hocking is so amazing: you just can’t put the book down. To be honest, I was a bit grumpy when I finished reading Switched because I the book was finished and I did not have the other two books in the series… This is a must read for all the people who love fantasy and romance, but want something else than the vamps and werewolves… And the angels…

wow what a book!!! i just finished it after i couldn't put it away!! i read it every single free minute and i could actually feel the way wendy must have felt in the book!! i even nearly cried.
that's how amanda hocking is sucking you in the book!! amazing!!

fans of paranormal romance, becca fitzpatrick, stephenie meyer, aprilynne pike, joss stirling, syrie& ryan james, lauren kate, jessica verday, maggie stiefvater will love these books aswell!!

Switched is mooi begin van een weer heerlijk weg te lezen Triologie. Deel 2 en 3 waren dan ook halverwege deel 1 al aangeschaft. Een leuk verhaal waar de combinatie van fantasie en werkelijkheid goed op elkaar inspelen en waarin de romantiek gewoon net even de andere kant in slaat dan voorspelbaar. Een verhaal waar ik met een lach en stiekem ook een traan doorheen ben gelezen.

It was a fun book to read and it has a easy writing style.
The story is thrilling, you keep reading, because you want to find out what happens next (and thanks to the easy writing style, it is real easy to keep reading). But when I finished the book, I had expected more out of it. Not the best series I have read, but good enough to spend your time reading it, especially if you like fantasy.

Het boek is geweldig om te lezen. Ik was al snel mezelf erin verloren. Het boek was erg leuk te lezen en is zeker een aanrader. Ik heb heel de trilogie binnen een dag uitgelezen. Het was heel erg leuk te lezen. En als je zin hebt in een leuke niet te dikke serie is dit een hele leuke trilogie!

Ik had de box van deze serie gekocht aangezien ik al vele reviews gelezen had die allemaal zeer positief waren (en omdat deze box juist supergoedkoop afgeprijsd werd... :) ), en ik kan alleen maar instemmen. Het verhaal is echt origineel en heeft echt veel verrassingen en zit vol spanning!(zeker en vast niet saai!!!!) Ook kon ik me echt terugvinden in de beslissingen en het gedachtepatroon van de personages, wat het lezen veel aangenamer maakt. Misschien hier en daar wat voorspelbaar, maar langs de andere kant gebeuren en allerlei dingen die je niet verwacht dus dit is echt geen minpunt. Ik had deze boeken in een paar daagjes uit. Het einde van de serie is ook zeker en vast heel mooi en ontroerend.Zeker een aanrader voor lezers die houden van romantiek en fantasy(/fictie). Ik heb al vele series gelezen en dit is zeker en vast één van de betere. Ook het engels is absoluut niet moeilijk geschreven. een serie voor alle leeftijden.

This book is a very wonderfull book, it has some romantic features, exciting features bit of everything I like in a good fantasy book.

So let's get this review over with, i just finished part two Torned and am on my way ordering the third!

Heel goed boek. Het is weer eens iets anders dan de vampier/weerwolf boeken! Heel goed geschreven. Vol met bovennatuurlijke elementen en een flinke dosis humor, en niet te vergeten liefde.
Super boek, een echte aanrader, verheug me al op het volgende deel.
