Ray Killick, a laid off tech support desk jockey, turned cab driver and aspiring writer struggles to figure out what's next for him as he travels cross country living and working on the fringe of civilized society.


After getting laid off, Ray takes a job driving a cab, which was supposed to be a catalyst for literary inspiration, but instead it quickly turns into a foray of life underground. In a late night drunken escapade he meets Zoe, a girl who, as best as Ray can tell has life in Los Angeles figured out. Zoe helps him get settled into his new life and sets him up with a job delivering liquor for her brother's store. Ray's honest existence soon becomes jeopardized when a street gang turns him into an errand boy after a liquor delivery gone wrong. Once again, Ray is faced with the choice of staying in the meager life he has carved out for himself, or hitting the road again for a chance at survival and the diminishing hope of finding something better. His choice would have been easy prior to getting involved with Zoe.
