Alternative medicine in the control over the oxidative stress

The control over the oxidative stress (OS) is among the key factors in the maintenance of the free radicals homeostasis. If this control is insufficient, pathologies and diseases occur, further increasing the OS levels and provoking the development of more new diseases. Along with the standard treatment protocols, the alternative medicine offers possibilities to keep OS levels favorable for the patients recovery. The advantages and risks related with the use of alternative methods for OS control are under intensive research in relation with the needs of the integrative medicine.
