Belinda Cheryl Jones werd geboren op 20 december 1967 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Als journaliste schreef ze voor Woman's world en More! Magazine. Ooit werd ze genomineerd als EMAP Columnist of the Year.
Haar moeder Pamela heeft altijd in de PR gewerkt, en haar vader Trefor als marketing director. Nu zijn ze allebei met pensioen. Belinda heeft ook nog een jongere broer Gareth, die 's winters tuinarchitect is en 's zomers bij de reddingsbrigade zit.
In april 1997 verhuisde Belinda naar Los Angeles en schreef voor Empire magazine. Nu werkt ze aan haar vijfde roman...
