Emily Dickinson
Hoewel ze nooit trouwde onderhield ze een aantal intieme vriendschappen, met name met de (getrouwde) dominee Charles Wadsworth die volgens velen degene was die haar inspireerde tot haar liefdesgedichten, en met Thomas Wentworth Higginson, een vooraanstaande literaire figuur met wie ze vanaf 1862 correspondeerde en aan wie ze veel gedichten stuurde. Hij raadde publicatie af, maar herkende wel onmiddellijk de kwaliteit van haar werk. Tijdens Emily Dickinsons leven verschenen uiteindelijk slechts zeven gedichten in druk: toen ze stierf in 1886, 56 jaar oud, liet ze 1775 gedichten na Op bol.com vind je alle boeken van Emily Dickinson.
Résumé
Stephanie ground her hips wantonly into Lucas’s lap, his erection pressing futilely against the zipper of his dark denim jeans. Lucas groaned at the restriction and attempted to alleviate it but Stephanie pulled his hands away with a mischievous smile. In all the years she had known Lucas he had never been one to value the virtue of patience, even less so when sex was at stake. Stephanie cupped his face in the palm of her left hand and brought his lips so temptingly close to her’s as she whispered, “You will unzip your jeans and pull them down when I tell you to. Not when you want to but when I indicate to you that you can. Do you understand?”
Lucas’s dark eyes widened at the unexpectedness of Stephanie’s command. In the years that they had walked hand in hand as a happy couple she had always been so easy going when it came to their sex life, rarely asserting any sort of dominance of her own. Now, sitting in his lap with her red dress inching so temptingly up her thighs and her blue eyes staring so determinedly into his, Lucas felt himself becoming further aroused at her words. Stephanie increased her grip on his chin and angled his face further up, her voice adopting a steely resolve as she asked him once again, “Do you understand?”
