Rush
Rush is een Canadese progressieve rockband die al bestaat sinds 1968 en in zijn bestaansjaren talloze geroemde albums uitbracht. Het powertrio bestaat uit Geddy Lee op de zang en basgitaar, Alex Lifeson op gitaar en Neil Peart op drums. De bandleden van Rush komen uit Toronto, Canada, waar de band rond 1971 doorbrak.
Vanaf 1974, wanneer het titelloze debuutalbum van de band uitkomt, worden de heren wereldwijd steeds bekender. De band wisselt in de loop der jaren lichtelijk van muziekstijl en ontwikkelt zich steeds meer als een progressieve rockband.
Uiteindelijk zal de band behoren tot één van de grootste bands binnen het rockgenre, mede door het vakmanschap van het getalenteerde trio. Rush brengt naast albums en liveregistraties tevens veel 5 inch, 12 inch en 7 inch singles uit, welke overal ter wereld als warme broodjes over de toonbank gaan.
