in '77 op een solocarrière, die met French Kiss zeer indrukwekkend van start gaat. Op deze elpee,
die in de Verenigde Staten goed is voor goud, manifesteert Welch zich als een decadente
ladykiller, wiens specialiteit het is het schrijven en uitvoeren van hard-rocksongs met melodie en
structuur. De opvolger, Three Hearts, is minstens even goed, doch blijkt - waarschijnlijk als gevolg
