Atlas of Gestational Reproductive Ultrasound in Alpacas

Gestation in all living beings is a fascinating stage of life that marks the beginning of a new life on the planet. In the case of South American camelids, gestation lasts an average of 11 months, the development during all this time is not evident from the outside of the animal, which makes it difficult to differentiate between pregnant and empty animals. Moreover, the use of ultrasound in these stages is very useful for gestational diagnosis, so this atlas will contribute to the knowledge of how the foetus develops inside the maternal uterus from the formation of the embryo until its birth.
