Caeruleus

In the Republic of Caeruleus, ancient Latin customs live side by side with the reality of a bustling industrial revolution - although deadly tensions are bubbling from all directions. Atticus Permisc, an insomniac law student, is appointed as the new Censor by the Senate. The youngest one to fill the position in several hundred years, he's chosen specifically because he's seen as the most incompetent candidate for the job - and the easiest to blackmail when he inevitably screws up. It's not long before he is forced to deal with a crisis of corrupt Preatorian Guards, militant Anarchists hoping to upend society, and an arch-rival leveraging all factions for a chance to conquer the Republic. A struggle where all are willing to use powers in open defiance of truth and reality.
