Kailash is een nieuw overzicht op Soul Jazz van het werk van Florian Fricke, leider van Popol Vuh, een van de belangrijkst bands uit de Duitse rock scene in de jaren 70 samen met Can , Faust, Amon Duul, Ash Ra en Tangerine Dream, en maker van klassieke soundtracks van de films van Werner Herzog ( o.a. Aguire the Wrath of God, Nosferatu, Fitzcaraldo ). Kailash bevat unieken nooit eerder uitgebrachte piano opnames , samen met de road movie Kailash,-Pilgramage To The Throne Of Gods die gaat over zijn spirituele reis naar Kailash , de bijna 7000 meter hoge berg in Tibet met bijbehorende soundtrack.
