geweldig 2de boek in de reeks van John Gwynne. De reeks volgt een aantal hoodfpersonages in deze wereld die op de viking wereld is gebaseerd.
Het verhaal volgt deze hoofpersonages, waaronder er een paar bijzijn die 'halfmensen' zijn, mensen met het bloed van een van de oude goden in hun, waardoor ze boven gemiddelde krachten hebben.
Een factie heeft een van de oude goden opnieuw tot leven gebracht en per ongeluk wordt er een 2de oude god teruggebracht.
Het verhaal bevat veel gevechten en is goed geschreven.
