Engels is niet mijn eerste taal maar ik lees wel regelmatig en zonder enige moeite Engels boeken. In dit boek heb ik echter wat moeite om door de tekst te komen. Dit komt onder andere door de lay-out van de alineas, de zogeheten "walls of text", kleine letters maar vooral door de onnodig moeilijke woorden die ik moet opzoeken om vervolgens te concluderen dat er een veel makkelijker woord voor bestaat. De schrijver gooit deze erin waarschijnlijk puur ter decoratie, wat op mij persoonlijk wat pretentieus overkomt. Datzelfde geldt voor de toon in de tekst met retorische vragen en opmerkingen als: schenk een kop koffie voor jezelf in en lees verder. Dit is uiteraard persoonlijk maar ik hou daar gewoon niet van. Verder bevat het zeker leerzame segmenten, mooie, inspirerende afbeeldingen en is het een mooie aanvulling in je boekenkast om eens te laten zien als je een medekoffieliefhebber op visite hebt.
