Elizabeth lives with her parents and her sister Louise in Amsterdam Rivierenbuurt during the Second World War. Her best friend is called Armand Luversteijn. During a raid, Elizabeth escaped. The Germans carried her parents and Louise away. Elizabeth hid and survived the war. Her search for Louise begins in Poland and later in Paris. Elizabeth decides to re-start her life. Her new quest is to find Armand. What she does not know is that Armand is looking for her at that moment. The first book of Darina Nykl is The Night That Changed Her Life. The writer was born in 1978 and raised in Rotterdam Mijnsheerenland (South Holland). She started writing when she was twelve and she has a lot of interest in the Second World War. She is currently working as an administrative assistant in a hospital and lives in Dordrecht.
