Geschreven bij Big History and the Future of Humanity
Dit boek heb ik aangeschaft voor de collegereeks aan de UvA over "Big History". Het boek is heel overzichtelijk en makkelijk te lezen. Er word niet te veel Engelse jargon gebruikt en Fred Spier schrijft met veel kennis. Als je de mazzel hebt de collegereeks te gaan volgen wens ik je veel plezier.

Dit boek is een uitstekende inleiding in een tamelijk jong vakgebied; Big History. Voor traditionele historici begint de geschiedenis vanaf het moment dat er geschreven bronnen beschikbaar zijn. Big History plaatst de geschiedenis in het kader van de geschiedenis van de kosmos en brengt vele vakgebieden bij elkaar. Dit geeft een ander perspectief op de geschiedenis. Deze heldere inleiding is geschreven door een van de pioniers op dit gebied. in Nederland.
