Bullied at school because he's different, Ilia is a loner living a secret life. He has the gift of second sight, a paranormal ability which enables him to see bad things happen, wherever they happen.
When Ilia's visions suddenly enter a new dimension he discovers his other-self. A powerful non-human entity, who not just observes but delivers his own kind of justice to those who transgress.

Then, on one particular day, everything changes. Found in a trance-like state in the school yard, Ilia is cruelly taunted by the other students as he endures a disturbing vision. Mbali comes to his defence and the pair unite in their efforts to find a young boy who's been kidnapped.
The kidnapping also attracts Hogan's attention. He's a very special dog; a super canine who's on a mission of his own. He also has a secret. Hogan might look like everyman's best friend but in reality he's not of this planet. He's a Freewheeler. His job is to protect the universal master plan and to make sure that it stays on course.
On his arrival on earth, Hogan soon realises that the kidnapped boy is just part of a bigger picture. The future of humankind is at risk, infected by the scourge of Icknog and at the mercy of an alien force intent on taking over the world.
