The book:
A telephone call about a note for a class teacher ends three minutes later in the main character telling her husband she does not want to be married to him anymore.

My life:
A talk about the school results of our daughters ends five minutes later in a divorce. She; ‘they can do a lot better …’ me; ‘… as it is they are doing the utmost they can do, perhaps they can do better if they were other girls living in a parallel universe … that universe in which we all can do better’

So, stupid me, I didn’t know there were book written about me and I was absorbed by the book from the first page.
The book is about a topic that should concern us all ‘how to be good’ how despaired we want to lead ‘rich and beautiful lives’ at least I do. How easy this is when it is all about; third world depth, homeless children, refuges, nuclear power plants, you name it, the further away the easier. Well not really easy of course, but compered to living with partners, children, parents, brothers, sisters … well that’s the real hell of a job to do. In this book this is shown to us and all the dilemmas it involves.

Is there perhaps also an answer in this book, because in the end all we want are answers of course, I do. Well perhaps something like ... you live a rich and beautiful live if you after 20, 30, 40 … years still are speaking with your partner, children, parents … without getting hooked on tranquillizers, alcohol or other drugs. And if you manage to do some ‘good deeds’ next to that, well good for you.

Famous last words; (…) and I can see that there’s nothing out there at all.
But that is rubbish of course, except if you have lived the forty years preceding this vision. Or at least read the 244 page preceding this conclusion.

So read this book and become sadder and perhaps even a little wiser.

Oh and now I forget the most important part, it is next to everything a very funny, comical sometimes even hilarious book to, so … enjoy ;-)

Under his real name, he has written four novels. He is also a university teacher. Will reading this book I listened to his music and it appeared to be a good sound track.
