Originally there was another member Stephen Gately, but sadly he died whilst on holiday in Majorca, in 2009, of natural causes. The band did split for a short period of time in 1999, then they made a comeback in 2007. Boyszone went on to become the second biggest and successful boy band in Britain, releasing 4 studio albums and seven computation albums. According to BPI certifications, Boyzone and sold over 13 million records in the UK alone. Studio albums including 'Said and Done' 1994, 'A Different Beat' 1996, 'Where we Belong' 1998, 'Brother' 2010, 'ZX 20' 2013. Over their music career, the band as accumulated 10 musical awards, which include: 1999 'BRIT Award for Best International Group', 'BRIT Award for Best International Single', 'Europe Music Award for Best Album', 'Europe Music Award for Best UK and Ireland Act', 1998 'BRIT Award for Best International Single', 'The Record of the Year for Best Single', '1997 'BRIT Award for Best International Group', ' Irish Music Awards for Best Group', 'Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song', and 1995 'Smash Hits poll winner for Best Group'.
