El presente volumen, impreso, escrito en idioma Espanol, es un texto academico para la ensenanza de esta lengua de origen latino, dirigido a estudiantes de habla con distinta genealogia. Este material bibliografico refleja un arduo trabajo y clara comprension pedagogica de la ensenanza del Espanol como lengua extranjera, fundamentado en el modelo de aprendizaje impulsado por conceptos y basado en indagacion, utilizando a estos como el medio que orienta la organizacion y el sentido del aprendizaje. Esta propuesta responde ampliamente a los desafios de contextos globales al presentar al mismo tiempo un diseno dinamico y bien estructurado del proceso de aprendizaje que, mediante la reflexion y la participacion activa del estudiante propicia que sea, este, el protagonista del dicho proceso. En su estructura, delimita con precision elementos clave en la comprension del proceso y futuro desarrollo de aprendizajes, presentando desde un enunciado de indagacion, el cual contiene el concepto clave y auxiliares que seran el marco y guia de la indagacion y analisis, pasando por definicion de los propositos del capitulo, visibilidad de enfoques de aprendizaje, atributos de la comunidad de aprendizaje que pueden ser reflexionados, hasta un vocabulario auxiliar para la expresion y comprension ante las situaciones de aprendizaje planteadas. La organizacion de este proceso permite recuperar saberes previos y brindar certeza a los estudiantes dada la coherencia con que se parte de lo elemental, el concepto, hasta la construccion de ideas complejas que permiten argumentar su posicionamiento personal frente a situaciones concretas; de esta manera, favorece en ellos, el desarrollo de autonomia y seguridad de que sus ideas son valiosas y dignas de ser expresadas. Aunado a lo anterior, se plantean situaciones de aprendizaje que van mas alla del desarrollo de habilidades linguisticas de comprension y comunicacion en distintos contextos, incidiendo en los saberes para la vida; particularmente, el desarrollo del sentido etico mediante la reflexion de entornos cotidianos de convivencia interpersonal, intrapersonal y medioambiental, transitando por distintos momentos de la historia, con proyeccion a futuro. La incursion global a la vida tecnologica no queda al margen, en cambio, esta magnifica obra establece un vinculo pertinente con los recursos tecnologicos de vanguardia para la busqueda de informacion, reflexion, desarrollo de destrezas digitales y expresion de las ideas a traves de medios audiovisuales, aderezando, esto ultimo, con el componente creativo que la novedosa propuesta exige del estudiante. In languages, MYP sets for students challenging and demanding goals and leaves teachers free to choose the content of their subject course. This is what makes the selection of resources impossible to overstate. Random texts from various books, Internet of press, albeit all their linguistic and thematic diversification, mainly are not adapted to a certain level of students' competence and to relevant features of MYP language acquisition programme. This book, still leaving a teacher free to search for additional resources, represents a solid and comprehensive framework of Spanish language course. All themes are thoroughly selected and developed in depth, providing a broad picture of cultural diversity and building a strong general knowledge across the curriculum, thus implementing an important IB requirement of interdisciplinary learning. Each topic is explored through key concepts, which, apart from being in line with core IB demands, guides students in relating language learning to the global environment with it's humane values. The book helps students to substantially increase their vocabulary not in a way of mechanical memorising, but through a logical contextual understanding, in other words, in the way it occurs in the real life, when people find themselves in a country of the target language. Idiomatic expressions, terminology, words of local use in various Spanish-speaking countries, elements of different format and conventions, - all this contributes to the feeling of a true immersion into the language. After-reading tasks and exercises deserve a special commendation. In fact, it is not just by reading and understanding, but through an active and creative work with an oral or/ and written text, that the language is learnt.
