The Friendly Monster

Oh no! Raizy's challah keeps on growing! Will Raizy be able to get things under control in time for Shabbos? Will she be able to defeat the giant challah monster? Or will it take over her entire house, or worse... the entire neighborhood?

In a house divided into apartments on Sunnyside Avenue, Raizy lives with three other girls. They don't get along. The girls return from school with challahs ready to be baked. They each think their challah is better than each other's and put each other down. This causes their challahs to grow and grow and take over their house. In a Shabbat, pre-Passover story that teaches kids about unity, the girls must work together to combat the monster challah in time for Shabbos.

In the back of the book, there are recipes included for each girl's challah including a chocolate challah, a pizza challah, a cinnamon challah and a tumeric challah.
