This is by far the best book I have ever read. I really had a hard time putting the book down while I should have been working. The way Carlo describes Kuklinski's history, activities, and 'feelings' is truly breathtaking. While chronologically the book could have been better put together - it starts with a scene where he is feeding live people to rats, something he started doing only later in his career, only to flash back to his childhood and really start the story - it is still easy to read. I became aware of Kuklinski by seeing the HBO documentaries about him, and I immediately became interested, intrigued. When I figured out there was a book about him too, I just had to have it - and I never regretted it, in fact it was the best money ever spent on a book. Mark my words, you will not be bored reading this book ever! While thus far I have not yet seen a Dutch translation, interested readers will have to make due with the original, English version.
