Found bloody and scared, little Kyria is rescued by Phelan, King of Caspera, who adopts her as his own. Under the guidance of her parents, Kyria is given choices to learn the depth of unconditional love and forgiveness. The typical animosities of young girls are magnified by jealousy, disability and sabotage. All of this is overshadowed when one of her friends is added to the rank of missing children. Niki Baker, author or A Promised Kept, is a retired special education teacher who lives with her husband, Robert, in St. Mary's County, Maryland. She is the mother of three grown children.
