Timely Lessons from the Book of Exodus follows through several events illustrating God's plan for His people, Israel. Dividing up the book of Exodus gives us three distinct sections: God delivers His people, God directs His people, and God dwells with His people. At fi rst, the children of Israel appreciate God's intervention in delivering them from Egypt. They see the hand of God in providing for their needs as well, but, soon after the people forget God's faithfulness to them and begin to murmur and complain when things are not going as they think they should. In this book, there are many practical lessons we can learn from the children of Israel's experience. "Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition" (1 Cor. 10:11).
