Torn YA Edition Book Two In The Trylle Trilogy

Het boek Torn is een heel mooi vervolg op het boek Switched, het eerste deel van de Trylle triologie. Het is een boek met veel fantasie en het het wordt nooit saai om te lezen. Er zitten veel verassende wendingen in het boek, die het erg verslavend maken om maar door te blijven lezen. Zeker een aanrader !

Net als het eerste deel van deze trilogie, heeft ook dit boek een prachtige kaft. Het is de eerste reden die ik heb om een boek te pakken en de achterkant te gaan lezen.

Dit is het 2e deel van een trilogie. Je moet wel het eerste boek gelezen hebben om te snappen waar het boek over gaat.

Het boek begint precies op het punt waar het eerste boek is gestopt. Je leeft zo weer mee met de hoofdpersoon (Wendy). In dit boek ontdek je, samen met Wendy, de wereld waarin zij terecht is gekomen. Je leert samen met haar een deel van het verleden, de wensen voor de toekomst en de moeilijkheden van het maken van de 'goede' keuze.

Ook de liefde zit in dit boek niet stil. Ik moet het 3e boek lezen om erachter te komen wie nu uiteindelijk de 'ware' is. Het 3e boek ligt al in mijn kast, dus ik ga snel verder om te zien hoe het nu afloopt voor iedereen.

Second in a 3 book series. This second book repeats much of the first book and feel it would have been better for all 3 books to have been put together in just one (thicker) book. That been said all 3 books are worth the read. Great to read something outside the norm with your own imagination being stimulated.

Torn is the second novel in the Trylle series by Amanda Hocking.

The story continues with Wendy Everly, a seventeen-year-old girl who just discovered she is a Trole and the next one in line to ascend the throne. In this book she learns about her past and about her future. She learns her father is Oren, the King of the Vittra. And that he and her mother Elora were married years ago. And that a long time ago an arrangement was made: she is supposed to marry her friend Tove. And Elora is dying. With all this new knowledge, Wendy’s world has turned upside down. And that only gets worse when she discovers Finn knew most of this and hasn’t told her anything.

So her relationship with Finn is not what is was, and that also has to do with the fact they shouldn’t be together because Finn is ‘only’ a Tracker and she is a Princess (and Finn really is sticking to that even though he loves her). And in this novel, there’s a hint of a love triangle going on… A Vittra Markis named Loki. He is the one that helped Wendy escape when she was kidnaped and held in Ondarike (the Vittra land). And he is handsome. But luckily Finn isn’t out of the picture

Wendy is also developing her powers and learning a lot about the Trylle and Vittra worlds. I liked the book and I also really liked the ending, even though it is a cliffhanger. I won’t tell you: you’ll just have to read! I think the cover of the book is great as well, just like the first book.
