Hoewel erg zware materie (pun intended) weet Manjit Kumar dit toch in vrij begrijpelijke taal te brengen. Het sterkste punt aan dit boek is dat het zoveel mogelijk uit chronologisch perspectief verteld wordt en daarbij steeds een beetje in moeilijkheidsgraad toeneemt; waardoor je goed klaargestoomd wordt voor de laatste meer abstractere hoofdstukken.

Een prachtige introductie in de Natuurkunde en vertelt mijn inziens veel beter en gedetailleerder het verhaal dan boeken als 'De antwoorden op de grote vragen' van Hawking.
