Geschreven bij A Brief Introduction to the Old Testament

Hoewel Coogan natuurlijk een zeer geleerd man is, zijn veel dingen, met name in de eerste hoofdstukken gebaseerd op aannames. Desalniettemin is het boek goed geschreven en er staan veel goede verwijzingen in. Verder voegen de feministische toevoegingen bij deze editie niet heel veel toe.
