De indeling van het boek is zoals we gewend zijn van de collins en anwb vogelgids.
Ik heb het boek gekocht vanwege een safari in Tanzania.
Er staat in het boek, dat het zuiden en westen van Tanzania nog niet geheel bekend is. Dit vindt je dan ook terug in de afbeeldingen van de verspreidingsgebieden.
Ik heb het boek nog niet in het veld kunnen testen want ik ga pas over een maand op reis.
Je moet het boek denk ik wel van te voren bestuderen om in het veld snel naar de juiste soort te kunnen zoeken.
Hopelijk heeft de volgende druk gedetailleerdere tekeningen en een iets duidelijkere gedrags beschrijving per soort.

Het boek is handzaam en niet te zwaar.

Ik kan dus nog niet zeggen of het boek aan te raden is. Dat zal ik doen als ik terug ben van mijn vakantie.

Een goed zoekboek. Alle vogels die ik gezien heb kon ik terugvinden aan de hand van de beschrijvingen en de bijbehorende vindplaatsen. Wel een zwaar boek voor een backpacker.

Dit is het boek voor de vogelaar. Alles word systematisch behandeld en van alle vogels zijn er afbeeldingen, verspreidingsgebieden. Compleet met goede index.
Is misschien voor op safari wat groot, maar verder een echte aanrader.
