David Walliams
Walliams was born in the London Borough of Merton and grew up in Surrey. He was educated at Reigate Grammar School in Reigate, before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Drama) from the University of Bristol. He began performing with the National Youth Theatre in the 1990s, where he met his comedy partner Matt Lucas. From 2003 to 2005, Walliams co-wrote and co-starred in three series of the BBC sketch show Little Britain alongside Lucas. The programme first aired on BBC Three before moving to the more mainstream BBC One, being deemed a critical success and hit with viewing figures.

Geschreven bij Camp David
Een zeer eerlijk en vermakelijk boek vol humoristisch beschreven situaties. David Walliams schrijft zoals hij zichzelf op televisie ook presenteert. Het is daarom makkelijk om je te verplaatsen zijn verhaal. Tegenover alle mooie en lachwekkende stukken staan trieste verhalen waarin hij zo open beschrijft wat hij door heeft gemaakt. Prachtig hoeveel diepgang in dit boek zt. Veel respect voor de schrijver.

Het boek Camp David beschrijft uitgebreid het leven van de Britse komiek David Walliams met een flinke portie humor. Een achtbaan door verschillende emoties in zijn leven. Een flink aantal hoogtepunten waarbij verschillende bekende Britse komieken aan bod komen, maar ook heftigere momenten door het gevolg van depressie en schuld. Een absolute aanrader voor de mensen die hier meer over te weten willen komen.
