Dit boek is voor een paramedicus een aanrader om in de collectie te hebben. Ik heb mij verbaasd dat dit boek niet als verplichte literatuur werd aangeduid in de basisopleiding fysiotherapie. Dit boek geeft goed inzicht en verdieping van de lumbosacrale wervelkolom.
Nadeel kan zijn dat dit boek zeer theoretisch ingesteld. Mocht je dit boek willen aanschaffen om je praktische vaardigheden te verdiepen, heb je het verkeerde boek voor je. Qua inhoud gaat het vrij diep in op biochemie, biomechanica en functionele anatomie, zoals de titel suggereert.
Het boek is geschreven in het Engels en kan zelfs voor de gevorderde Engelse lezer bij vlagen moeilijk te volgen zijn. Dit verschilt echter per hoofdstuk en is ook afhankelijk van de stof die word besproken.

Enorm goede ondersteuning van de anatomische kennis van een fysiotherapeut. Speciaal gericht op de lumbale en sacrale wervelkolom, worden alle anatomische facetten uitgeplozen. Een aanrader voor de verdiepende fysiotherapeut. Super!
