    Fast Food Nation is een onthutsende inkijk in de Amerikaanse fastfoodindustrie. Onderzoeksjournalist Eric Schlosser ging op zoek naar de roots van het fenomeen en bekijkt de impact ervan op de moderne Amerikaanse maatschappij. Die blijkt redelijk onthutsend te zijn; voedselschandalen, uitgebuite laaggeschoolden, de Amerikaanse obesitisasexplosie... De Amerikaanse fastfoodketens lieten volgens Schlosser een vernietigende voetafdruk op Amerika en op de wereld. Je eet nooit meer zonder nadenken een hamburger als je dit boek hebt gelezen.

    Het boek leest makkelijk weg en is qua inhoud interessant. Als je ooit benieuwd bent over hoe de Fastfood branch te werk gaat en waarom, in tegenstelling tot restaurants, het groeit, dan kan ik je dit boek aanbevelen.
