onoverzichtelijke grammatica voor beginner
Beste boek voorhanden (in het Engels), maar... Het boek is opgezet als conversatiecursus. Start eenvoudig, maar er worden hierbij nogal wat concessies gedaan aan de schoolse overzichtelijkheid en rijtjes. Bijvoorbeeld "mai", ik, staat op bladzijde 1 en "tum", jij, komt pas op bladzijde 24 pas aan bod. Dat is met alle grammatica het geval. Ik ben, jij bent, wij zijn, als men deze vertaling in het Hindi op een rijtje in het hoofd wil krijgen is dat niet eenvoudig uit de tekst te halen. Daardoor kan de tekst op de beginner verwarrend overkomen. Ook staan er na zoveel drukken nog kleine fouten in de Devanagari karakters. Voor een studieboek onhandig. Desalniettemin is dit het beste, meest toegankelijke boek voorhanden dat zowel de Engelse taal, als Hindi in Romeinse transliteratie en Devanagari weergeeft. Een aanrader.
