Een heel spannend boek met sociale achtergrond geschiedenis : heel moeilijk om te stoppen met lezen. In een industriestad als Leeds heerst veel sociaal onrust, de arbeiders werken in erbarmelijke omstandigheden en wonen in mensonterende omstandigheden. Voeg daar kindermisbruik, stakingen en moord bij en je hebt niet alleen een spannend boek maar ook een illustratie van waar hebzucht naar kan leiden. Een echte aanrader !
