Het boek is wat het weergeven van het leven van de kunstenaar Matisse te oppervlakkig gebleven. Er ontbraken heel wat foto's van zijn minder beroemde werkenmaar ook miste ik grote weergave van de bekendste werken. De afbeeldingen hadden geen waw effect, omdat ze te klein werden weergegeven... Voor iemand die de schilder totaal niet kent is het een mooi starter boek. Prijs is evenredig aan de kwaliteit.
