Heb dit boek gekocht als achtergrondliteratuur voor een werkstuk over de grunge movement. Ik heb het in één ruk uitgelezen, maar een aantal stukken kwam ik wat lastig doorheen, ze zijn vrij lastig beschreven en het zijn theorieën die niet zo eenvoudig zijn als dat ze lijken. Voor mijn benadering van de grunge movement bleek het boek uiteindelijk minder bruikbaar, maar het laat je wel op een heel andere manier tegen het verschijnsel cultuur en achtergrondcultuur aan kijken. Erg verfrissend, dus!
