Max Tegmark is author or co-author of more than 200 technical papers, twelve of which have been cited more than 500 times. He has featured in dozens of science documentaries, and his work with the SDSS collaboration on galaxy clustering shared the first prize in Science magazine's "Breakthrough of the Year: 2003". He holds a Ph.D from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a physics professor at MIT.

Interessante poging tot een ultieme theorie van alles. Of een richting waarin een dergelijke theorie gezocht zou kunnen worden. Gebaseerd op gevestigde natuurkunde en enige speculatie. Zet je aan het denken.

Geschreven bij Our Mathematical Universe
Als je van fantaseren houdt, gestoeld op kloppende mathematiek, is dit een aanrader. Absoluut boeiende inzichten.
Tegmark maakt volgens mij echter de fout dat hij gelooft dat als je kunt uitrekenen dat iets kan, dat het dan ook werkelijk kan. Zó werkt het natuurlijk niet. Maar absoluut aardig om te lezen, wel vermoeiend op gegeven moment.
Hij gebruikt ook veel "ik", dat is ook storend.
Degenen die het boek aanraden op de achterkant van de flap, zijn allemaal vriendjes.
