Ignace Schops is natuurbeschermer en wereldautoriteit in duurzaam en economisch rendabel natuurbeheer. Hij zetelt in het Climate Leadership Corps van Al Gore en is Full Member van het EU Chapter van de Club van Rome. Van 2014 tot 2021 was hij President van EUROPARC Federation. Ignace is directeur van het internationaal geprezen Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen, eredoctor aan de Universiteit Hasselt en Ashoka Fellow.
