The Bane Chronicles Companion to The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices series

Erg leuk!
Dit is zeker een aanrader voor de fans van de 'The Mortal Instruments' en 'The Infernal Devices' van Cassandra Clare. Het boek neemt je mee naar een aantal punten uit het leven van onze favorite 'warlock' Magnus Bane. Maar ook als je niet zo geïnteresseerd bent in Magnus (hoe kan je?) maar wel in hotel dumort, Valentijns cirkel of James Herondale is dit boek erg leuk om te lezen.

De korte verhalen in het boek staan los van elkaar dus je kan er gewoon een uitkiezen die je leuk lijkt en die gaan lezen zonder bang te zijn dat je iets heb gemist.

Ik ben erg blij dat ik dit boek heb gekocht en raad het zeker aan om te gaan lezen.

Let wel op! Dit boek is in het Engels en dus niet in het Nederlands. ;)

Magnus is my favorite character from the Mortal Instruments series (yes there it is I said it!) and no one can imagine how excited I was to see the Bane Chronicles coming out! And it came out, at least in the Netherlands(apparently Magnus has Dutch blood in his veins yaay) on my birthday! Of course I pre-ordered it and of course I got it way later then expected. But that's not the point.

I really loved all the stories in The Bane Chronicles and I loved that they were set in different places around the world and different era's. I could imagine Magnus walking through the rain forest or through the desert and wanting to be a cactus as much as I could imagine him as a punk in England. Before I started reading the stories I hoped there are going to be stories about him and Alec and I wasn't disappointed. I would have been happy if there would be only stories about Magnus and Alec however the other stories made this book so much more fantastic and interesting and I felt like the readers could get to really know Magnus as he was before he met Alec.

Magnus is such an amazing character. He is so funny and sarcastic and he does and says things that make you think he's crazy like out of nothing he decides to become a detective or learn to play an instrument. I love him for the way he is and the way he thinks and what he says (or rather what Mrs. Clare has him say). Things like "Are we going to talk about boys?..I didn't realize, and I am honestly not prepared. Can't you come over another time, when I'm in my jammies? We could do homemade facials and braid each other's hair, and then and only then will I tell you that I think your brother is totally dreamy." or "If Jace was gold, catching the light and the attention, Alec was silver: so used to everyone else looking at Jace that that was where he looked too, so used to living in Jace's shadow that he didn't expect to be seen. Maybe it was enough to be the first person to tell Alec that he was worth being seen ahead of anyone in a room, and of being looked at longest. And silver, though few people knew it, was a rarer metal than gold." make Magnus and of course Cassandra Clare so brilliant.

I will always love Magnus as a character and what he's like but also that he feels responsible to the world to be gorgeous and therefore wears tight pants :D

Erg leuk boek! Grappig en heel leuk geschreven. Je moet wel de andere boeken van Cassandra Clare gelezen hebben, anders snap je dit boek niet helemaal. Zeker een aanrader!

Als je de andere boeken van Cassandra Clare hebt gelezen moet je dit zeker ook lezen. Magnus is een van mijn favoriete personages, dus dit boek was perfect voor mij. Het bestaat uit verschillende verhalen en een speciale shadowhunter komt gelukkig ook voor in een paar van deze verhalen :) Het boek speelt zich af in veel verschillende tijden in de geschiedenis met heel veel verschillende personages, wat zorgt voor leuke en nieuwe dynamieken. Als je net zoveel van Cassandra Clare's boeken houdt als ik MOET je dit echt lezen!

Magnus is een van mijn favoriete personages uit de mortal instruments. De eerste paar verhalen zijn wat lastiger om doorheen te komen maar later wordt het een stuk leuker. Je komt veel personages van de mortal instruments en infernal devices weer tegen en komt meer te weten over hun verhalen. Echt een aanrader als je een fan bent van de shadowhunter wereld!

ik vind het helemaal geweldig
heb the mortal instruments ook allemaal
ik vind het echt waanzinnig alleen een nadeeltje dat het alleen verkrijgbaar is in engels
ik zelf heb er weinig moeite mee door dat ik twee talig ben maar andere kunnen deze niet lezen terwijl ze ook weg zijn van mortal instruments en zo is het zelfde voor the shaduw hunters
ik zou graag zien dat ze die ook vertalen in nederlands
