Peter Frankopan
Peter Frankopan studeerde geschiedenis in Cambridge. Hij is sinds 2000 Senior Research Fellow aan Worcester College en directeur van The Centre for Byzantine Research aan de Universiteit van Oxford. Frankopan is de zoon van een Kroatische prins die Kroatië in de Tweede Wereldoorlog ontvluchtte. Eerder schreef hij De eerste kruistocht.
