Geschreven bij Marx: A Very Short Introduction
Korte maar kundige filosofische benadering van Marx' ideeën. Beschrijft heel heel helder de evolutie van Hegel, via de 'Jonge Hegelianen' & Feuerbach, naar Marx. Wat heeft Marx uit Hegel geleend, wat hij heeft hij weggegooid, en wat heeft hij gerecycled? Singer vindt zo een interessante rode draad door Marx' denken waar een strikt economische of politieke benadering slechts losse onderdelen zonder duidelijk verband zou aantreffen.
