Tui t. Sutherland
Tui T. Sutherland werd geboren in Venezuela op 31 juli 1978. Ze is vernoemd naar een luidruchtige Nieuw-Zeelandse vogel. Ze woonde in Paraguay, Amerika en de Dominicaanse Republiek. Na haar studie werd Tui redacteur bij een uitgeverij, en ze begon ook haar eigen boeken te schrijven. Ze schreef al meer dan veertig boeken, van kinder- tot jeugd- en young adult-boeken. De serie Het fabeldierenpark schrijft ze samen met haar zus, Kari H. Sutherland, waar ze goed bevriend mee is. Onder het pseudoniem Heather Williams schreef Tui T. Sutherland een spin-off van Little House on the Prairie. Onder het pseudoniem Robb Kidd schreef ze een spin-offserie van Pirates of the Carribean, én ze schreef de boekuitvoering van Pirates of the Caribbean: 'At World’s End', die op de New York Times-bestsellerlijst terechtkwam. Onder het pseudoniem Erin Hunter schreef ze de Warrior Cats-serie samen met Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry en Victoria Holmes. Ze woont nu in Boston, Massachusetts met haar man, twee zoons en hond. Ze vindt dat ze van geluk mag spreken dat ze werk heeft waarbij ze in haar pyjama kan zitten en de hele dag met haar hond kan spelen. Haar hond Sunshine heeft zelfs een eigen blog!
