Shunryu Suzuki
Shunryu Suzuki (1904-1971) behoort tot de Soto zenschool en is een directe afstammeling van de grote zenmeester Dogen. In Japan was hij al een gerespecteerd zenmeester toen hij in 1958 op drieënvijftigjarige leeftijd voor een kort bezoek naar Amerika ging.
