    I got the incentive to get this book from my enthousiastic yoga teacher, and alike she did, fell immediately in love with this beautifull, attractive, attentive piece of Art. A book that really is what its title promises: Art of Attention. Attention in the text, the explanation of the precise instructions, what to do with body, mind and heart. The pictures, clothing, surrounding, colors, sequences and inspiring words, all is done with a lot of Attention: it's a pleasure for the eye, soothing for the mind, a party for the body. It is something to keep always next to your yogamat.

    This amazing fantastic book is very different from many yogabooks, that describe poses and sequences to twist your spine souple around, strengthen your muscles and so on. It's 5 chapters deal more about what we may long for: reduce tension & find forgiveness, let go of blame, breathe and find stillness, explore your highest posibilities and let your life reflect your practice. The thougths are so inspiring, mild, recognizable.
    Five chapters with five different women's gifts of attention.

    Is is a DO book, with space to write down your own thoughts and experiences. Each chapter is divided in three parts: sankalpa, where you set the intention for your practice, a three wave sequence with clear pencil puppets that explain the poses and breathing excercises, and it ends with awaking, with inspiration to close the practice.

    It is designed to browse through the book, pick up a subject you're attracted to, an emotion that keeps you busy. In whatever state you are, this book uplifts your energy, gives hope and inspiration, helps to transform from anger to mildness, from fear to love, from hate to forgiveness. Really a book to give away, for yourself or a friend.
