Het boek vertelt in het kort over het moeilijke leven van de schrijver in zijn kinderjaren. Daarna vertelt hij de pijnlijke daden dat hij heeft verricht als een jong volwassene. Hij legt uit hoe hij spiritueel is gegroeid. Nadat hij hulp heeft gekregen van onbekenden in zijn moelijkste periode, vertelt hij waarom hij heeft besloten om zijn leven toe te wijden aan het helpen van anderen die hulp verdienen. Een zeer sterk verhaal en gebeurtenissen waardoor je over je eigen leven gaat nadenken.
