Bauman weet met dit boek, zoals mijn titel aangeeft, precies de juiste snaren te raken. Bij het lezen van Liquid Fears besefte ik me steeds opnieuw hoe gelijk Bauman heeft, hoe hij precies weet te zeggen waar het op staat.
Je kan het met hem eens zijn of niet, maar het is zeker een boek wat je aan het denken zet over fundamentele dingen, zoals onze angst voor de dood. Hij zet deze angst, en meer, in een nieuw perspectief en dat is de kracht van het boek.
