Avi Shilon
Dr. Avi Shilon is a historian. His new book, "Ben-Gurion: His Later Years in the Political Wilderness", has been published by Rawman & Littlefield on May 2016. It is the first in-depth account of the later years of David Ben-Gurion (1886-1973), Israel's first Prime Minister and founding father. Shilon is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at New York University, The Taub Center for Israel Studies. His first book, "Menachem Begin: A Life", was published by Yale University press on 2012. The book won as a finalist by the Jewish book council. Shilon's main research interests are in modern Jewish and Israeli history, with a particular focus on the Zionist right-wing and Israeli politics. Shilon also writes for Ha'aretz op-ed section.

Een goede beschrijving van het leven en de filosofie van een van de belangrijkste politieke personen in de Israëlische politieke geschiedenis. Ik heb veel van het boek geleerd.
