    Neil Young had met deze boxset een visie; hij wilde ons, zijn fans laten zien en horen wie hij was, aan de hand van zijn muziek. Hij had hierbij een grote archiefkast in gedachten en als je een la open trok en een dossier van een bepaald nummer (bekend of nooit uitgebracht) je dan dat nummer kon beluisteren en tegelijkertijd informatie over het nummer lezen, en de songtekst, foto's en krantenknipsels bekijken. Moesten er ook relevante videoclips of radio-interviews beschikbaar zijn, dan zouden ook die in die map zitten.

    U begrijpt het al, een CD leent zich hier niet voor, een DVD in mindere mate wel, maar daar kan je niet muziek luisteren en tegelijkertijd door foto's bladeren. Voila, daar was de Blu-Ray, die alles mogelijk maakte wat Neil Young voor ogen had. Na veel gemorrel van zijn fans kwam er uiteindelijk toch deze DVD versie en een CD versie. De Blu-Ray en DVD versie kregen zelfs als bonus Live on Sugar Mountain en een MP3 download-kaart erbij. Kun je de muziek nog meenemen ook!

    Ik heb de Blu-Ray versie en het is een waar spektakel, een lust voor oog en oor. Ik zou met niets minder genoegen willen nemen. Op naar Volume 2!
